Tennessee

These are the pictures I took while we were on our mini vacation to Tennessee and Georgia. I took the camera with me when I went for a walk one morning. Unfortunately, we brought the cold weather from Michigan down to Tennessee with us, but we didn't have to deal with the snow! The house in the pictures belongs to Michael's cousin, Jack. We stay with him every time we come to visit. The horse, dog and (fake) turtle I met along the way.

Happy 1st Birthday Toby!

Happy Birthday Toby! Our lab turns a year old today. So I wanted to look back at some old pictures of him when we first brought him home. He was so tiny! He's so big now, that I often forget he was so small. The little picture of Molly (our beagle) and Toby together shows that they were best friends from the start!

-And of course...the first picture is of our big "Tubbers" as he is now, 100 pounds and all!

Yep...More Snow

Good Morning!

In honor of the snow storm that's raging outside, I thought I'd share some of my favorite pictures that I took this winter. (well, I guess it's still winter...)

Some of them are quick shots I took right outside our front door and of course, a funny picture of my 2 snow dogs running in the back yard!

Hope everyone has a great day! Enjoy the snow (ugh...winter.) Michael and I are celebrating his real birthday (today) by taking a quick vacation down to Tennessee and Georgia to see some friends and family! I plan to take the camera and get some pictures of life in warmer climates! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Those of you who know me well know that when it comes to crafts, I haven't always been so "crafty." Most of the time I am lucky if I can cut in a straight line and 90% of the time....I can't! :)

But! I wanted to share with you this very cool card that I made for Valentine's Day. My inspiration came from the January edition of the Scrapbooks etc. Magazine. It featured patterns you could use and trace to create fun characters for your own cards, tags, or scrapbook pages. So I used the little Cupid pattern they had and made this card! (I'm quite pleased with myself!)

Even though we weren't feeling well, we had a small birthday party for Michael last night. I found a cake with puppies on it and Michael got some fun and interesting presents from everyone who was there. In the end, we didn't let Strep get us down!

Winter in Michigan, Part 1

Feeling Kinda "Blah"...

It's a foggy Michigan morning as I type this blog. Hmmm maybe school will be canceled! (ha! yeah right)


Over the past week, my students and fellow teachers have been coming down with various colds and illnesses. I have been trying to fight it as best I can, but this morning...I feel a little defeated. My throat hurts and I just have that icky feeling. Dang viruses!
So, I picked this picture of Toby to help describe how I feel. :) Toby was being kinda lazy on the day I took this picture.

First Time Blogging!

Here we go!

I've been thinking about creating a blog page for some time now. I guess you could say that my aunts and few friends who have their own blogs inspired me to get off my butt and create my own.
Be prepared for many photos and blogs about Molly and Toby since they are the stars of the show! As I sit here typing this blog, Molly is chewing on Toby's ears and they both have silly looks on their faces.
I guess they approve! :)

So, let's see where this thing will take us!
